Board Certified Cardiologist, Oahu

Dr. Marc Hunt is a board-certified cardiologist with extensive experience in both military and civilian healthcare. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, he completed his cardiology fellowship at the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. His clinical expertise includes the management of pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as advanced diagnostic testing such as cardiac catheterization, cardiac CT angiography, and echocardiography.

Dr. Hunt practices an invasive cardiology approach with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. He is a firm advocate for the shared decision-making model—integrating patient autonomy, lifestyle modification, and the latest evidence-based medicine to develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term heart health.

After serving 25 years in the U.S. Army, Dr. Hunt has returned to Hawaii and transitioned to civilian practice. His military career included thirteen years at Tripler Army Medical Center and seven years at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. He also led and participated in numerous humanitarian medical missions in the Republic of Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia. Notably, he served in Iraq and at the Pentagon in the aftermath of 9/11 and held several leadership roles throughout his military service.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Hunt enjoys staying active through paddleboarding, traveling, cooking, and a wide range of physical activities—modeling the heart-healthy lifestyle he encourages for his patients.

Dr. Hunt is currently licensed to practice in Hawaii and Texas. He is affiliated with Adventist Health Castle and The Queen’s Medical Center.
