Lung-Sang “George” Lam is a board-certified, licensed Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery. He practices at our Wailuku location and Maui Memorial Medical Center, where he has been a cornerstone of the surgical heart care team since 2012.
George earned his Physician Assistant degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1990. With over 30 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery, he brings a wealth of skill and knowledge to his practice. Since relocating to Hawaii, he has played a vital role in building and expanding the cardiothoracic program at Maui Memorial, where his expertise in endovascular vein harvesting has been a key component of surgical success.
Dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care, George takes great pride in being part of a collaborative team of surgeons and cardiologists delivering advanced cardiovascular services to patients on Maui and across the neighboring islands.
Outside of work, George embraces all that island life has to offer. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Carol, and their beloved pets, and leads an active lifestyle that includes windsurfing and tennis. Maui holds a special place in his heart, and he considers it a privilege to serve the community he calls home.
